First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Earn $56.25-$57.25 per hour with the freedom to pick shifts that fit your life, including 7a-7p and 7p-7a options.

As a PCU RN, you’ll provide high-quality patient care in acute-care hospital environments, monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications, and collaborate with care teams. Per diem work offers daily or weekly pay and no rigid weekly commitment.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• AHA BLS Current.
• AHA ACLS Current.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test current.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsabilités

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
