Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts throughout the Virginia area. Shifts run 7a-7p or 7p-7a, with freedom to pick up shifts that fit your life.

Earn $56.25–$57.25 per hour with options for daily or weekly pay. Active Virginia RN license and 2 years PCU experience required, along with BLS, ACLS, and TB testing within the past year. COVID vaccination or approved exemption is also required.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license is required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing in the past 4 years.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
