Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Virginia. Earn $56.25-$57.25 per hour with the freedom to pick shifts that fit your life.

Per diem options include daily and weekly pay, with the ability to work as little as one shift per month and still stay connected to hospital-based opportunities. Requirements include an active Virginia RN license, 2 years of recent PCU experience, BLS/ACLS, QuantiFERON-TB Gold within 12 months, and COVID-19

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS.
• Current AHA ACLS.
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
