Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts in Virginia. Earn $56.25-$57.25 per hour with the freedom to choose shifts that fit your life and a pay model that allows daily or weekly options.

Shifts available include 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with you deciding how much you work. Active VA RN license, 2 years PCU experience, BLS/ACLS, vaccination or exemption, and other facility credentials may be required.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS.
• Current AHA ACLS.
• QuantiFERON-TB test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
