Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across the Virginia Hampton Roads area. Shifts include 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with the freedom to choose schedules.

RNs must hold an active Virginia license with at least 2 years PCU experience, BLS and ACLS, and recent TB testing. Vaccination or approved exemption is required, with competitive per diem pay and flexible weekly options.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience in the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate electronic medical records.
• Following infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting to different hospital units and environments.
