Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts run 7a-7p and 7p-7a, giving you the freedom to schedule your own days. Choose to pick up occasional shifts or build a fuller schedule with daily and weekly pay options.

Enjoy competitive per diem pay and a responsive local staffing team. Active Virginia RN license and 2 years PCU experience required, with BLS/ACLS and vaccinations or approved exemptions.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS.
• QuantiFERON-TB test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
