First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in Virginia. You can pick shifts that fit your life, with the option to work as little as one shift per month and both daily and weekly pay options.

Requirements include an active Virginia RN license, 2+ years PCU experience, BLS/ACLS, TB testing (QuantiFERON-TB Gold), and COVID-19 vaccination or exemption. Per diem roles offer competitive pay and hospital-based opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions in acute-care hospital settings.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and detect changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.
