Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts in the Hampton Roads area. You can pick shifts that fit your life, with options for daily or weekly pay and flexible scheduling. Per diem pay ranges from $56.25 to $57.25 per hour, with Virginia RN licensure and current PCU experience required.

Shifts are available 7a-7p or 7p-7a. The role offers hospital-based opportunities and a locally owned staffing team dedicated to nurse flexibility and support.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license and 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional facility-specific credentials may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in acute-care hospital settings.
• Assess and monitor patient conditions and document findings.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and patient status changes.
• Administer medications, IV therapies and treatments as ordered.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records in a timely manner.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge.
