Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. RNs should be licensed in Virginia and able to meet basic PCU requirements. Per diem options offer flexible scheduling and quick payment options.

Shifts include 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with daily or weekly pay options and no minimum weekly commitment. This locally owned staffing firm emphasizes responsiveness and hospital-based opportunities.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in acute-care hospital environments.
• Assess and monitor patient conditions, document findings.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
