Job summary
First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across the Hampton Roads region in Virginia. You can pick shifts that fit your life, with options from 7a-7p and 7p-7a, and receive flexible scheduling and daily/weekly pay.
Requirements include an active Virginia RN license, 2 years of PCU nursing in the past 4 years, BLS, ACLS, and a current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within 12 months, plus COVID vaccination or approved exemption.
Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN License
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
- Current AHA BLS
- Current AHA ACLS
- Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
- Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment
Responsibilities
- Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
- Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
- Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
- Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
- Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
- Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
- Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
