Job summary

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ, part of Banner Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU-7W). The role involves continuous telemetry monitoring, day shifts from 7:00am to 7:30pm, and weekend rotations with a $3/hour weekend differential.

Qualifications

Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
BLS certification is required.
Eligibility for hire-on bonus requires 12 months of RN experience and a 1-year commitment.

Responsibilities

Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs.
Formulate a plan of care including discharge planning and goals in collaboration with patient/family.
Implement the plan of care with direct patient care and supervision of staff as appropriate.
Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plan with the team.
Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record.
Provide care based on evidence and participate in unit leadership and mentoring as appropriate.
Interacts with multiple departments to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
