Job summary

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This 36-bed unit provides telemetry monitoring for patients with respiratory, cardiac, renal issues and other conditions.

Day shift 7:00am-7:30pm with weekend rotations and a $3/hour weekend differential. The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in state of practice (or compact license).
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in acute care hospital settings preferred, especially in PCU.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, psychological, social, spiritual and discharge needs.
• Formulate and revise a plan of care with patient/family input.
• Implement plan through direct care and team coordination.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care accordingly.
• Document assessments and care in patient records accurately.
• Provide education and participate in quality improvement activities.
