Job summary

Banner Health's University Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a General PCU Registered Nurse. You will care for patients recovering from surgery, stable cardiac conditions, or respiratory illnesses requiring non-invasive ventilation, on a unit with 1:4 ratios and day shifts 7:00 am–7:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.
• Must maintain clinical performance competencies as demonstrated through annual validations.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan the discharge and ongoing care.
• Implement the care plan, coordinating with the health care team.
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses in the medical record.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and team members to ensure safe, effective care.
