Job summary

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ is hiring a Certified Patient Care Assistant for the 7W PCU. The role provides routine patient care on a 36-bed Progressive Care Unit, assisting with daily living activities, vital signs, data collection, and charting under supervision.

On-site, day shift from 6:00am to 6:30pm with weekend rotations. BLS and CNA licensure required; prior clinical/caregiving experience preferred. A supportive team environment and ongoing training are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Current CNA license in state of practice is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and promote patient comfort.
• Take and chart vital signs and other delegated measurements.
• Communicate patient status to licensed staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Perform unit-based procedures and assist with equipment as delegated.
• Handle receptionist/clerical tasks to support department efficiency.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure chart forms are filed correctly.
• Assist with transport of patients and OR room turnover as needed.
