Job summary

U.S. Renal Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician Trainee to train under a Registered Nurse, learning direct patient care and hemodialysis procedures in a center setting.

You will gain experience monitoring vital signs, preparing dialysis equipment, and documenting patient information while pursuing required certifications within 18 months. This position is on-site and part-time with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

  • One year of medical experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • BENON/NNCC/NNCO certification within 18 months from hire date.
  • CDPH CHT certification for CA locations within 18 months from hire date.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
  • Learn hemodialysis treatment according to center policies and procedures.
  • Support patient care tasks including vital signs, blood tests, and equipment prep.

The Patient Care Technician Trainee (PCT Trainee) will be in training to learn how to provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. The PCT Trainee will learn how to perform the hemodialysis treatment according to Satellite and the local center's policies and procedures. The care that will be taught will include taking and monitoring patient vital signs, performing blood tests, documenting appropriate patient information, preparing and monitoring dialysis equipment, and cleaning equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience: One (1) year of medical experience preferred
  • Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D. certificate, or equivalent
  • License/Certification:
  • Current CPR certification
  • BENON/NNCC/NNCO certification is required within 18 months from the hire date.
  • CDPH CHT certification (for CA locations only) is required within 18 months from the hire date
