Job summary

U.S. Renal Care in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking a Patient Care Technician Trainee to join our dialysis team. As a PCT Trainee, you will learn to provide direct patient care under RN supervision and perform hemodialysis tasks in line with center policies.

You will gain hands-on experience in vital signs, blood tests, equipment prep and cleaning, while advancing toward certification and career growth in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • One year of medical experience preferred.
  • CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Technician Trainee (PCT Trainee) will be in training to learn how to provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. The PCT Trainee will learn how to perform the hemodialysis treatment according to Satellite and the local center's policies and procedures. The care that will be taught will include taking and monitoring patient vital signs, performing blood tests, documenting appropriate patient information, preparing and monitoring dialysis equipment, and cleaning equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: One (1) year of medical experience preferred

Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D. certificate, or equivalent

License/Certification:

  • Current CPR certification
  • BONENT/NNCC/NNCO certification is required within 18 months from the hire date.
  • CDPH CHT certification (for CA locations only) is required within 18 months from the hire date
