U.S. Renal Care in Capitola, CA is seeking a motivated Patient Care Technician Trainee to learn direct patient care under RN supervision and participate in hemodialysis delivery according to center policies.

As a PCT Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience with vital signs, blood tests, equipment prep and cleaning, while supporting a compassionate, patient-centered team focused on quality care and safety.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of medical experience preferred.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• CPR certification required; BONENT/NNCC/NNCO within 18 months; CDPH CHT for CA locations within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform hemodialysis under RN supervision.
• Take and monitor patient vital signs and document information.
• Prepare and monitor dialysis equipment; assist with blood tests.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO We are seeking a purpose-driven team member dedicated to providing quality care to patients in a safe and professional environment. The Patient Care Technician Trainee (PCT Trainee) will be in training to learn how to provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. The PCT Trainee will learn how to perform the hemodialysis treatment according to Satellite and the local center's policies and procedures. The care that will be taught will include taking and monitoring patient vital signs, performing blood tests, documenting appropriate patient information, preparing and monitoring dialysis equipment, and cleaning equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: One (1) year of medical experience preferred

Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D. certificate, or equivalent

License/Certification:

• Current CPR certification
• BONENT/NNCC/NNCO certification is required within 18 months from the hire date.
• CDPH CHT certification (for CA locations only) is required within 18 months from the hire date
