Job summary

U.S. Renal Care in California is seeking a PCT Trainee to support dialysis patients in a SAFE, professional environment.

You will train under a Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care and learn hemodialysis procedures in accordance with center policies. You will take vital signs, assist with blood tests, document patient information, prep and monitor dialysis equipment, and assist with equipment cleaning.

Qualifications

  • One year of medical experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificate, or equivalent.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • BONENT/NNCC/NNCO certification required within 18 months from the hire date.
  • CDPH CHT certification (for CA locations only) required within 18 months from the hire date.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care under supervision of the Registered Nurse.
  • Learn hemodialysis procedures according to center policies.
  • Take and monitor vital signs, perform blood tests, and document patient information.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Technician Trainee (PCT Trainee) will be in training to learn how to provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. The PCT Trainee will learn how to perform the hemodialysis treatment according to Satellite and the local center's policies and procedures. The care that will be taught will include taking and monitoring patient vital signs, performing blood tests, documenting appropriate patient information, preparing and monitoring dialysis equipment, and cleaning equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: One (1) year of medical experience preferred
