Endeavor Health’s Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Pulmonary Medicine Unit. This full-time night-shift role involves assisting licensed nurses, delivering direct patient care, and maintaining safety and comfort on the unit.

Requirements include CPR certification and completion of a nursing assistant program or equivalent experience; successful completion of the care Companion Course within six months may be required. Competitive benefits available.

• Current CPR certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of patient care experience.
• Successful completion of the care Companion Course within six months of hire when required by the department.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of an RN, performs patient care tasks and procedures to provide care, comfort and safety for patients.
• Assist with routine patient care while prioritizing patient well-being and safety.
• Follow established procedures and collaborate with the health care team to support patient needs.

Hourly Pay Range: $19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

Position : Patient Care Technician - Pulmonary Medicine Unit

Location : Edward Hospital ; Naperville, IL

Full Time: 36 hour work week

Hours : Night Shift: 6:30 pm - 7:00 am Rotating Holidays/Weekends

What you will do:

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What you will need:

Education: N/A

Certification: Current CPR Certification issues by either American Heart Associates or American Red Cross

Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation

Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.

Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
