Job summary

Endeavor Health in Naperville, IL is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Pulmonary Medicine Unit to support RN-directed care and deliver essential patient care tasks ensuring comfort and safety for patients.

The role is full-time with a 36-hour work week and a night shift from 6:30 pm to 7:00 am, including rotating holidays and weekends. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation.
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.

Position Highlights

• Location: Edward Hospital ; Naperville, IL
• Full Time: 36 hour work week
• Hours: Night Shift: 6:30 pm - 7:00 am Rotating Holidays/Weekends

What You Will Do

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What You Will Need

• Education: N/A
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issues by either American Heart Associates or American Red Cross
• Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
