Job summary

Endeavor Health in Naperville, IL is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Cardiac Telemetry/Neuro Step Down unit. This full-time role offers a 36‑hour work week and a day shift from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm with rotating holidays and weekends.

You will perform patient care tasks under RN supervision to ensure patient comfort and safety, requiring CPR certification and nursing assistant training or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
• Care Companion Course: Completion within six months of hire if required by the department
• Interpersonal skills: Excellent teamwork, ability to prioritize and follow directions

Hourly Pay Range:

$19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will do:

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What you will need:

• Education: N/A


• Certification: Current CPR Certification issues by either American Heart Associates or American Red Cross


• Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation


• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.


• Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
