Job summary

Endeavor Health in Naperville, IL, seeks a Patient Care Technician - Cardiac Telemetry 3/Med Surg to join the Night Shift team. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you perform patient care tasks and procedures to support comfort, safety, and recovery.

This full-time role offers a 36-hour work week with night shifts (6:30 pm–7:00 am) and rotating holidays, plus premium pay, tuition reimbursement, health, dental and vision options, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• Six months of patient care experience or CNA training or nursing clinical rotation.
• Care Companion Course completion within six months if required by department.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care tasks under RN supervision.
• Assist with patient comfort and safety and follow procedures.

Position Highlights

Hourly Pay Range: $19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Location: Edward Hospital; Naperville, IL

Full Time: 36 hour work week

What you will do

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What you will need

• Education: N/A
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issues by either American Heart Associates or American Red Cross
• Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
