Job summary

Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the CV Unit Nights. You will assist with patient care under an RN, performing tasks to ensure comfort and safety for patients on the unit, including PCCU float possibilities.

The role requires CPR certification, completion of nursing assistant training or equivalent, teamwork, prioritization, and the ability to follow directions. Full-time position with 36 hours weekly, 7pm-7:30am, weekends and rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation.
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.

Position Highlights

• Position: Patient Care Technician -CV Unit - Nights
• Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus - 155 E. Brush Hill Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126
• Full Time: 36 hours per week
• Hours: 7pm-7:30a.m.am (4-5 weekends in a 6 week period) and rotating holiday track
• Call: If census is low and not needed in other areas
• Required Travel: no
• Float: Could float to any inpatient unit including PCCU
