Job summary

Edward-Elmhurst Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Observation Unit at Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus. The role operates 7:00pm–7:30am with every third weekend and holiday rotation, requiring CPR certification and previous patient care experience or nursing clinical rotation.

Hourly Pay Range: $18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will do:

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What you will need:

Education: N/A

Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association

Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
