Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Patient Care Technician - Critical Care (PCCU) in Elmhurst, IL. You will support care teams, perform tasks under an RN, and help ensure patient comfort and safety on the PCCU unit.

The role requires current BLS CPR, nursing assistant training or clinical rotation, and strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with the team. Full-time schedule includes day shifts with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification (AHA BLS) required.
• Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or one nursing clinical rotation.
• Completion of the care Companion Course within six months if required by the department.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with teamwork and ability to follow directions.

Position Highlights

• Position: Patient Care Technician - Critical Care (PCCU)
• Location: Elmhurst, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time, 36 hours/week
• Hours: 7am-7:30pm (Day shift), Every 3rd weekend, Rotating Holidays
• Required Travel: No

What You Will Do

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What You Will Need

• Education: N/A
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association BLS
• Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
