Job summary

SpaceX Hawthorne, CA seeks a Supplier Development Engineer (PCB/PCBA) to drive manufacturing and supplier quality for rocket parts. You will own new product introduction, identify suppliers, and develop ramping processes for new or re-sourced parts in support of the Starship program.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in engineering and 1+ year in manufacturing or process engineering, with PCBA experience and IPC knowledge. Travel 25–50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
• Knowledge of PCBA processes and IPC standards is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical point of contact for parts and assemblies, solving supplier challenges.
• Own new product introduction and ramping processes for rate-ready parts.
• Collaborate with design, R&D, procurement, and manufacturing to manage product portfolio.
• Analyze production data to drive improvements in manufacturability and cost.
• Lead containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions with suppliers.
• Support supplier evaluation and onboarding efforts.
• Travel up to 25–50% domestically and internationally as needed.
