Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer (PCB/PCBA) to drive manufacturing quality and supplier readiness for rocket parts and assemblies. You will own new part introductions, review suppliers, and ramp production to rate while working with design, R&D, and supply chain teams.

The role requires a strong background in electronics fabrication (PCBs, PCBA, EEE components), knowledge of IPC standards, and experience with supplier quality processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 1+ years in manufacturing or process engineering role.
• Experience with PCBs/PCBAs and IPC standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical contact for parts and assemblies, addressing supplier challenges.
• Own the new product introduction of new parts and assemblies, including supplier reviews and ramp to rate.
• Collaborate with design, R&D, commercial supply chain, hardware reliability, and production teams to manage the product portfolio.
• Analyze production and process data to drive improvements in manufacturability, lead times, and cost.
• Review issues on assigned parts, solve to root cause, and drive corrective actions with suppliers and SpaceX.
• Lead containment activities and drive supplier root cause failure analysis.
• Support procurement to strategically source parts by reviewing supplier capabilities and processes.
• Demonstrate innovation and technical excellence and effectively communicate status and actions.
