Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Supplier Development Engineer (PCB/PCBA) to lead supplier activities for rocket parts and assemblies, owning new product introductions and ramping processes. You will collaborate across design, R&D, and supply-chain teams to mitigate risks and drive manufacturability improvements.

Experience in electronics fabrication, IPC standards, and supplier quality processes is preferred. This on-site role in Hawthorne includes competitive pay and SpaceX benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
• Experience with PCB/PCBA manufacturing and PCB processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical contact for rocket parts and assemblies, solving supplier manufacturing and quality issues.
• Own NPI of new parts, review suppliers, and ramp manufacturing to rate for new or changed parts.
• Collaborate with design, R&D, supply chain, and production teams to manage the product portfolio.
• Analyze data to drive improvements, reduce defects, and improve manufacturability and lead times.
• Lead containment and root-cause actions, re-source to new suppliers when needed.
• Create and disposition issue tickets with engineering counterparts.
• Drive supplier root-cause failure analysis and corrective actions.
