Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, TX seeks a Manager, PCBA SMT Engineering (Starlink) to build and lead a new production organization for PCBA manufacturing. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 5+ years in electronics development or production.
• 2+ years leading a team of 10+ individuals.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of manufacturing engineers, lead engineers, and specialists for Starlink PCBA manufacturing.
• Set technical standards and ensure delivery.
• Lead SMT/PCBA manufacturing development strategy including capacity and process capability.
• Own quality, delivery, cost, yield, and equipment performance at high-volume throughput.
• Oversee factory layout, material flow, equipment, spares, and build-process strategy end-to-end.
• Drive new products from design into production with NPI readiness and DFM/DFT.
• Coordinate daily with production, design, test, supply chain, and quality; escalate line issues and drive corrective actions.
• Define production data, SPC, MES/MRP/ERP requirements; maintain records.
• Maintain strong safety focus and control of ESD.
