Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Hardware Development Engineer for PCBA Manufacturing (Starlink) in Bastrop, TX. The role focuses on owning and improving PCBA production processes, driving volume manufacturing, and collaborating with design and process teams to meet quality and throughput targets.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline required.
1+ years of demonstrated experience in manufacturing engineering, SMT, hardware debug/triage, or PCB design.

Responsibilities

Own and manage PCBA manufacturing processes for in-house production.
Drive processes for volume PCBA production including MES, nonconforming product management, and traceability.
Manage NPI of PCBA assemblies with design engineers and process specialists.
Lead equipment selection using process capability analysis and gauge R&R.
Improve safety on the PCBA production line and maintain work instructions.
Track schedule, WIP levels, and defect rates of owned products.
Provide feedback to improve design for manufacturability and root-cause SMT issues.
