Job summary

Benchmark is seeking a Production Inspector in Minnesota to perform routine visual, mechanical and electrical inspection of PCBs and sub-assemblies at multiple stages of production. You will work with detailed process sheets and texts and contribute to quality assurance throughout manufacturing operations.

You will operate inspection tools including optical equipment, Nicolet X-ray systems, and ERP data entry, with a focus on accuracy, adherence to procedures, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of basic electronics manufacturing experience.
• 2+ years of advanced electronics inspection (AOI).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse groups and provide training as needed.

Responsibilities

• Works from detailed process sheets and related instructions to perform inspections.
• Inspects component placement, soldering, markings, and other quality requirements.
• Verifies paperwork, drawings, and dates for each assignment.
• Operates optical equipment to assess component and solder acceptability.
• Operates the Nicolet X-ray machine and other inspection equipment; interprets results.
• Performs minimal rework/repair and inline data entry in ERP systems.
• Maintains documentation, participates in continuous improvement, and supports a 24/7 operation.
