Job summary

J&T Business Consulting in Seymour, CT is seeking a Process Development & Manufacturing Support engineer to design, optimize, and document manufacturing processes for PCB and electro‑mechanical assemblies. You will prepare calculations, support NPI, and troubleshoot floor issues in real time to maintain a smooth production flow.

You will develop SOPs, work instructions, and provide guidance on inspection, tooling, and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing).
• Strong mechanical foundation with automation and machine programming.
• Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and specs.
• Familiar with IPC-A-610 solder inspection training requirements.
• Experience with Shop Floor Tracking Systems / MES (Aegis) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, and execution of manufacturing processes for PCB and electro‑mechanical assemblies.
• Prepare engineering calculations and plans for manufacturing.
• Provide real‑time troubleshooting to minimize downtime and improve productivity.
• Track project schedules and deliverables to maintain production flow.
• Develop SOPs and work instructions for processes and tools.
• Provide DFx feedback and support NPI and equipment validation.
