Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in Brooksville, FL to design, test, and validate PCB assemblies in regulated manufacturing environments. You will lead schematic capture, 4–6 layer layouts and hands-on hardware testing.

You will develop test protocols and automated test scripts, troubleshoot hardware issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to move products from concept to production while ensuring design for manufacturability and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–6 years of PCB and electronic hardware design experience.
• Experience with schematic capture and 4–6 layer PCB layouts.
• Hands-on testing of circuits and product validation.
• Experience developing test protocols, scripts, and automated tests.
• Proficient with oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
• Experience in regulated industries such as aerospace, DoD, defense, or medical devices preferred.
• Familiarity with DFM, IPC standards, and engineering documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PCBAs, including 4–6 layer layouts and electrical schematics.
• Create and execute circuit-level and final functional testing to validate product performance.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot test protocols, automated test scripts, and validation procedures.
• Utilize electrical test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, power supplies, and other diagnostic tools.
• Perform debugging and root cause analysis of hardware and PCBA issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support product development, manufacturing, and design improvements.
• Document designs, test results, and engineering changes while ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
• Support prototype builds, verification testing, and new product introductions.
