Job summary

HCL International is seeking a hands-on Electronics Design Engineer in Brookfield, CT, to lead end-to-end electronic system development. You will design complex, multi-layer PCBs with analogue and digital circuits, and collaborate with firmware, software, and mechanical teams through the product lifecycle.

The role involves creating bespoke test cabling, documenting BOMs and ECOs, and ensuring regulatory and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Strong background in analogue and digital design, including high-speed digital circuitry and mixed-signal environments.
• Experience with microprocessor/microcontroller-based systems and low-level firmware development (C/C++).
• Familiarity with EMC considerations and PCB layout for noise reduction.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design of complex, multi-layer PCBs with analogue and digital circuits.
• Design bespoke test and machine probing cabling using DraftSight or AutoCAD.
• Create and manage engineering documentation including BOMs, ECOs, and build instructions.
• Develop modular platform architectures and custom circuit solutions for customer requirements.
• Support production with debugging, QA, and test fixture development.
• collaborate with firmware/software and mechanical teams throughout the product lifecycle.
