Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of electro-mechanical design and product development experience
• Experience in regulated environments (aerospace, defense or med device) is preferred
• Hands-on with fixture design, tooling, and manufacturing support
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and drawings
• Experience with prototype testing and validation
• Strong knowledge of DFM / DFA principles

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electro-mechanical device components, fixtures, tooling, and stamped parts for product development and manufacturing
• Develop device housings, enclosures, shells, and aesthetic mechanical components for microcontroller-integrated systems
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and production teams to ensure DFM / DFA best practices are implemented
• Perform thermal, CFD, and simulation analysis to evaluate product performance, heat dissipation, airflow, and system efficiency
• Support prototype development, testing, verification, and validation activities
• Conduct costing analysis and process optimization for new and existing products
• Troubleshoot mechanical and manufacturing issues on the production floor and implement corrective actions
• Support compliance with medical device regulatory and quality standards
• Partner with cross-functional engineering teams through product development from concept through production
