Job summary

PeerStar is seeking Certified Peer Specialists to provide community-based 1:1 peer support using lived experience to help others overcome mental health obstacles. The role focuses on empowerment, hope, and lasting peer connections.

You will build trust through your experiences, offering practical tools to support growth, while meeting documentation and transportation requirements as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have an active Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) certification through the PCB.
• Must attest to having a mental health diagnosis and be in recovery.
• Eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Must have 6 months of consecutive employment or 12 months in the last 3 years of paid or volunteer work.
• Ability to use iPad for documentation.
• Must have a driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications:

• Must have an active Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) certification through the Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB).
• Must be able to attest to having a mental health diagnosis and have reached a point in their recovery pathway where they can positively support others in similar situations
• Eighteen (18) years of age and older.
• Must have maintained 6 months of consecutive employment or volunteer work experience; OR within the last three (3) years, have maintained at least 12 months of successful full or part-time paid or volunteer work experience.
• Ability to use iPad for documentation.
• Must have a driver's license and reliable transportation.
