Job summary

PeerStar, LLC in Pennsylvania seeks a Certified Peer Support Specialist to inspire hope and empowerment through lived experience. You will provide 1:1 peer support and help peers on their recovery journey in a community-based setting.

Role emphasizes empowerment, self-determination, and building trust through your recovery story. Eligible candidates will pursue CPS certification with our help; a two-week course is provided or existing PCB CPS certification is accepted.

Qualifications

• Must attest to having a mental health diagnosis and be in recovery enough to support others
• Eighteen (18) years of age and older
• Must have 6 months of consecutive employment or volunteer work experience; OR 12 months in last 3 years of paid/volunteer work
• Must participate in a two-week course to receive state-issued CPS certification or possess PCB CPS certification
• Ability to use iPad for documentation
• Must have a driver's license and reliable transportation

• Must be able to attest to having a mental health diagnosis and have reached a point in their recovery pathway where they can positively support others in similar situations
• Eighteen (18) years of age and older.
• Must have maintained 6 months of consecutive employment or volunteer work experience; OR within the last three (3) years, have maintained at least 12 months of successful full or part-time paid or volunteer work experience.
• Must be able to participate in a two-week course to receive state-issued certification or possess a PCB state-issued CPS certification.
• Ability to use iPad for documentation.
