Job summary

PeerStar is Pennsylvania's largest and most established peer support provider, operating exclusively in the peer support space since 2008. We employ Certified Peer Specialists (CPS) and Certified Recovery Specialists (CRS)—individuals with lived experience of mental health and/or substance use challenges—who receive specialized training to support others on their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Must attest to mental health diagnosis and recovery readiness to support others
• Minimum 18 years old
• Must have 6 months of consecutive employment or volunteer work; or 12 months in last 3 years of paid/volunteer work
• Must participate in a two-week course for state certification or have CPS certification
• Ability to use iPad for documentation
• Must have a driver’s license and reliable transportation

Qualifications:

• Must be able to attest to having a mental health diagnosis and have reached a point in their recovery pathway where they can positively support others in similar situations
• Eighteen (18) years of age and older.
• Must have maintained 6 months of consecutive employment or volunteer work experience; OR within the last three (3) years, have maintained at least 12 months of successful full or part-time paid or volunteer work experience.
• Must be able to participate in a two-week course to receive state-issued certification or possess a PCB state-issued CPS certification.
• Ability to use iPad for documentation.
• Must have a driver's license and reliable transportation.
