Job summary

PeerStar is Pennsylvania's largest and most established peer support provider, operating exclusively in this field since 2008. We employ Certified Peer Specialists (CPS) and Certified Recovery Specialists (CRS) who receive specialized training to support others on their recovery journey.

As a CPS, you’ll provide hope and empowerment through lived experience in 1:1 peer support, building trust and promoting self-determination.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and experience in the recovery process from mental health disorders and/or substance use.
• Eighteen (18) years of age and older.
• Have a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (preferred)
• Have completed a peer specialist certification training curriculum approved by the state of Pennsylvania
• Criminal History Clearances- PA State Police Clearance, Child Abuse, FBI
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
• Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish in verbal and written formats.
