Job summary

Leidos’ Defense Systems Electronics Manufacturing Facility in Huntsville, AL is seeking a 2nd Shift Process Engineer to develop and execute manufacturing processes for electronic products. You will support PCB assemblies including SMT, soldering, and conformal coating, collaborating with engineering and operations to ensure quality and delivery.

You will work with MES, Costpoint, and Windchill tools, lead build strategies with design and manufacturing teams, and adapt processes to meet customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with relevant experience; alternative HS diploma with years of experience.
• Willingness to work weekend shift (Fri–Sun) with first-shift training beforehand.
• Weekend hours: 6am–6pm.
• Experience with SMT, Through Hole Selective Soldering, and Conformal Coating is a plus.
• Experience with manufacturing software (Costpoint, Agile, Windchill, MES) is a plus.
• Ability to lead, stay detail-oriented, and work with engineers and technicians.
• Must be a North Alabama resident or willing to relocate; US citizenship and eligible for clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute manufacturing processes for electronic products.
• Support PCB assembly production across SMT, soldering, coating processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to validate customer requirements.
• Create machine programs and oversee manufacturing activities.
• Prepare assemblies for customer delivery and ensure on-time scheduling.
