Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems Sector in Huntsville, AL seeks a 2nd Shift Surface Mount Assembly Technician to operate SMT equipment and assemble PCBA’s, including stencil printers, pick-and-place, reflow, AOI, and X-ray inspection. Reading drawings and following work instructions are required; US citizenship and eligibility for a Secret Clearance are needed.

You will work independently and in teams, performing hand soldering and microscope work to meet daily objectives.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED with 2–4 years of electronics assembly experience.
• Knowledge of SMT processes for PCBA manufacturing.
• Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Operate SMT equipment (Stencil Printer, P&P, Reflow, AOI, X-ray) to assemble PCBA’s.
• Handle hand soldering of SMT and Through-hole components.
• Work to meet day-to-day objectives and deliver results.
• Coordinate with teammates across functions and production teams.
• Work under limited supervision and in a team environment.
