Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc in Winona, MN is seeking a Manufacturing / PCB Assembly worker. The role involves assembling and/or modifying electronic components, subassemblies and systems by following detailed instructions and process sheets in a fast-paced production environment.

You will read assembly prints, identify defects, perform inspections of your own work, and maintain accurate material control while collaborating with team members to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 1+ years of experience in hardware and/or simple optics assembly type activities
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math
• Ability to use hand tools and associated devices to manufacture PCBs and other electronic assemblies
• Ability to identify electronic components

Responsibilities

• Reads and follows assembly prints, work instructions, drawings, procedures and specifications used in the manufacturing of PCBs
• Identifies by sight workmanship and material defects in touch-up and assembly areas and may be able to suggest basic changes to the work instructions to improve operations in these areas
• Performs tasks with a high degree of care and attention to details while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Assembles electronic components, assemblies, and modules by working from samples, visual aids, wiring lists and process sheets
• Maintains accurate material control within the work area
• Performs inspection of own work in immediate working unit
• Participates in providing timely feedback to other operations, management and support engineering, as appropriate
• Follows and maintains accurate process documentation
• Assembly PCBs of an intermediate complexity
• May use a variety of tools to perform tasks
• Serve as a mentor to lesser skilled employees
