Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc in Rochester, MN is seeking a manufacturing/production assembler for full-time PCB assembly. You will read drawings, assemble PCB components and subassemblies, and maintain quality and safety.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math, ability to use hand tools, and willingness to work shift 4 (06:00-18:30). Benchmark offers a safety-sensitive environment with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of hardware and/or simple optics assembly experience.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math.
• Ability to use hand tools and associated devices to manufacture PCBs and other electronic assemblies.
• Ability to learn and master PCB assembly tasks.

Responsibilities

• Reads and follows assembly prints, work instructions, drawings, procedures and specifications used in the manufacturing of PCBs.
• Identifies by sight workmanship and material defects and may suggest changes to work instructions to improve operations.
• Performs tasks with a high degree of care and attention to detail while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Assembles electronic components, assemblies, and modules from samples, visual aids, wiring lists and process sheets.
• Maintains accurate material control within the work area.
• Performs inspection of own work in the immediate working unit.
• Provides timely feedback to operations, management and support engineering as appropriate.
• Follows and maintains accurate process documentation.
• Assembles PCBs of intermediate complexity.
• May use a variety of tools to perform tasks.
• Serve as a mentor to lesser skilled employees.
