Job summary

St. James Place of Baton Rouge is seeking a Personal Care Attendant Team Leader/Scheduler to support residents with activities of daily living and lead a PCA team. The role emphasizes mentoring staff, ensuring adequate staffing, and coordinating coverage for shifts within a senior living community.

Responsibilities include organizing morning caregiving tasks, monitoring dining services, and assisting with activities and appointments to promote resident well-being and independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Basic computer skills; ability to learn software used for scheduling and care documentation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure morning care is fulfilled, including toileting at designated times.
• Monitor dining room settings and assist with serving.
• Mentor PCA staff and lead by example.
• Schedule staffing and communicate assignments.
• Handle call-ins and arrange replacements; cover shifts when needed.
• Assist residents with activities and accompany to appointments.
