Job summary

St. James Place in Baton Rouge is seeking a dedicated Assisted Living Personal Care Attendant (PCA) for a full-time daytime role.

You will support seniors with daily living activities, including dressing, bathing, mobility, dining, and medication assistance, to promote independence and quality of life. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, current CPR/First Aid certification, and healthcare/home care experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment).
• Experience in a healthcare or home care setting.
• Ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with daily living activities (ADLs) such as dressing, bathing and hygiene.
• Supports dining by escorting residents and helping with meal service.
• Assists with medications and health monitoring tasks as directed.
• Observes changes in condition and reports to supervisor.
• Promotes residents’ social, physical and emotional well-being.
