Akkodis is seeking a PC Support Technician to provide telephone, remote, and in-person support for enterprise computers, printers, and peripherals. You will install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment, document actions, and escalate when required.
The role emphasizes strong customer service, communication, and the ability to manage a high workload in a fast-paced environment. May require occasional overtime and physical lifting up to 50 pounds.
The PC Support Technician provides telephone, remote, and in-person technical support for enterprise computers, laptops, peripherals, software, and related systems. The technician installs, configures, maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots equipment; assists users at all organizational levels; documents service activity; and coordinates with other support teams when escalation is required.
The position requires strong customer service and communication skills, sound technical judgment, effective prioritization, and the ability to manage a high volume of work independently in a fast-paced business environment.
Rate Range: $28/hour to $37/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
The technician works under general direction and follows established technical procedures, service processes, safety practices, and documentation requirements. The technician is expected to follow current escalation process when an issue exceeds their training or expertise and completes work with minimal disruption to users and business operations.
An associate degree in Information Technology, computer science, or a related field and at least two years of enterprise PC support experience are required. A recognized certification, such as CompTIA A+, combined with equivalent relevant experience may substitute for the education requirement.
Work may occur in offices, equipment rooms, laboratories, production areas, warehouses, hangars, and other company facilities. Duties may involve extended computer use, walking between work areas, working under desks, and handling or transporting equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Work outside normal business hours may be required for installations, maintenance, outages, equipment moves, or operational support.
The technician must comply with applicable laws, regulations, contractual requirements, company policies, safety practices, and information-security requirements. The technician is expected to maintain professional conduct, protect company assets and information, accurately document work, and promptly report issues that may affect business operations.
