Texas Orthopedic Hospital in Houston is seeking a PBX Operator PRN to manage hospital-wide telephone communications, coordinate with physicians and staff, and respond to emergent codes with professionalism. This role emphasizes courteous, accurate call handling and a patient-centered approach.
You will use the directory to locate station numbers, relay calls, and ensure proper phrasing and timing in all interactions with patients, visitors, and colleagues.

Assumes responsibility and accountability for communication process of the hospital to include handling various codes and other emergent type occurrences. Provides compassionate and competent service for all patients, visitors, physicians, and employees, considering individual needs related to growth, development, sensitivity to pain, and ability to effectively communicate. Responsible for other related departmental assignments as requested by the Director of Inpatient Services and/or other hospital administrative personnel as appointed.
