Job Summary

Promptly answers all incoming calls and assists in placing outgoing calls.

Responsibilities

• Responds to code phone, code computer or wall panel alarms which takes priority over any calls except the fire alarm and making sure that appropriate personnel are notified.
• Monitors fire panel alarms, wall alarms, code phone and code computer where applicable, contacting the fire department and other appropriate personnel when needed.
• Pages on web based paging system and switch board for authorized personnel, physicians and emergency calls.
• Places long distance and Watts Line Calls for various departments and doctors' offices.
• Assists patients by advising how to place local and long distance calls.
• Answers patient information calls whenever necessary.
• Documents vital information to assist supervisor in maintaining current files with the daily PBX operations.
• Overhead pages appropriate personnel as needed.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described here in.

Qualifications
