Job summary

Cottage Health in Santa Barbara, CA seeks a PBX Operator for its CH Navigation Center to professionally manage the communications backbone of the hospitals.

In this role you will operate the PBX console, coordinate paging and other systems, handle emergency procedures, serve as base station for Security Officers, and monitor alarm systems to ensure quick, accurate and courteous responses across CHS facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum: ability to use a PC to operate the PBX console program and other communications systems.
• Preferred: 1 PBX operator or customer service experience.
• Technical requirements include ability to respond to emergencies and operate communications systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate the PBX console to route calls to CHS hospitals accurately.
• Utilize paging and other communications systems as needed.
• Monitor and respond to alarm systems in the Communications Center.
• Serve as base station for Security Officers and support emergency procedures.
