LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, VA is seeking a PBX Operator to join our telecommunications team. You will promptly answer all incoming calls and assist in placing outgoing calls to support hospital operations.

The role requires strong communication skills and a proactive approach to keeping patient and staff communications clear and timely. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of switchboard experience and a high school diploma, with preferred experience of 5 years and familiarity with

Job Summary And Qualifications

Seeking an experienced PBX Operator to join our dynamic team of telecommunications professionals. In this role, you will assist our hospital team by promptly answering all incoming calls and assisting in placing outgoing calls. We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to assist in ensuring hospital communications runs smoothly and efficiently.

What qualifications you will need:

Experience

Required - 2 years switchboard experience.

Preferred - Experience operator with at least 5 years of experience.

EDUCATION

Required - High school graduate.

Preferred - Graduate with previous switchboard experience. Medical terminology a plus.
